Anyone filing bankruptcy in this country, regardless of the Chapter (7, 11, 12 or 13) is required to complete 2 (two) certificates.  You may not complete both at the same time.  You must first do the pre-filing (Credit Counseling), then after you file the actual Bankruptcy petition and have been assigned a case number you may do the pre-discharge (Debtors Education).  Below is a listing of a few agencies that are available for you.

This company offers a fee-waiver program for both certificates.  If you feel you are a low income family, you may apply to them for the fee-waiver.  If you are filing an individual bankruptcy and you choose to use this company for both your certificates they will discount your costs for the certificates.

This company does not offer the fee-waiver program. So if you do not qualify for the above fee-waivers) and you have the internet, this company is one of the least expensive for internet clients only.  You are welcome to call them with questions.  If you have them do it over the phone the fee's are the same Money Management International, Inc.
